F48 LCI sDrive20i Sport Collection Wagon 5dr DCT Steptronic 7sp 580kg 2.0T BMW's entry-level SUV, the X1, is based on a front-drive/all-wheel drive platform shared with sister brand MINI. It is generous inside, with the comfortable seating you'd expect, and has a big 505-litre boot that expands to 1550 litres when all seats are folded. The engine line-up includes a 100kW/220Nm three-cylinder 1.5-litre turbo and three 2.0-litre four-cylinders: a 141kW/280Nm turbo-petrol, a 110kW/330Nm turbo-diesel and a 170kW/350Nm turbo-petrol that drives the AWD xDrive 20i model. Autonomous emergency braking, lane-departure warning, self-parking capability, SatNav, cruise control (with braked speed control) and climate-control are universally standard.
