F48 sDrive20i Wagon 5dr Steptronic 7sp 590kg 2.0T BMW's smallest SUV, the MINI-based X1, is available in front-drive and AWD form and brings plenty of interior space via its transverse engine packaging, truly useful load capacity and a good dose of the expected BMW quality and driving characteristics. There's a choice of three 2.0-litre four-cylinder engines" a base 110kW/330Nm 18d turbo-diesel, and two turbo-petrols including a 141kW/280Nm 20i and a 170kW/350Nm 25i that comes in AWD xDrive form only. While diesel and top-spec 25i versions utilise an eight-speed auto transmission, the mid-spec 20i petrol employs a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
