SEMA 2015: Kia teases wild new Sorento concept

Korean car-maker teases Dakar-ready concept, confirms it will come in Kermit green and feature high-lift suspension

Kia is set to unveil a wild new SUV that will look as if it’s inspired by a Dakar rally racer.

The new concept is based on the Sorento and has been created to appeal to the Las Vegas show’s custom car fans.

Dubbed PacWest Adventure Sorento, it features high-lift race suspension, huge sand and mud tyres, a snorkel air intake, a light bar and a butch bull bar.

According to a press statement, the new Sorento will be joined on the SEMA stand by other new concepts that are said to celebrate “America’s love for the open road and diverse car cultures”.

Kia will reveal more in the next few days ahead of the official debut in Las Vegas on November 3.
