Considering its current embarrassing struggles in Formula One racing, Honda has selected a curious time to include an ‘Orange Edition’ accessory pack – inspired by its global motorsport activities – with the new 10th generation Civic Hatch range.
Best to overlook the current disastrous F1 campaign with McLaren – and next year with Sauber - and instead focus on Honda’s ongoing success in the world’s most exciting motor racing category, MotoGP, most recently highlighted by a 1-2 result in last Sunday night’s Spanish GP at Jerez.
Just 100 of the Orange Edition kits will be offered to celebrate the launch of the Civic Hatch. Available for VTi, VTi-S, VTi-L and VTi-LX grades, the kit will set you back an extra $2998 but is compatible with only four of the seven exterior colours on offer.
Honda Civic RS cannot be ordered with the Orange Edition kit, as it already includes most of the components.

So what does the Orange Edition kit comprise? An orange front under spoiler, an orange door and mirror decal set, an orange side skirt set, an orange rear under spoiler and four black 17-inch alloy wheels.
When applied to VTi and VTi-S variants, the 17-inch alloys require matching upsized tyres (sold separately), which incur additional cost.
Honda is also reprising the Black Edition kit first launched with the Civic sedan last year.
For the same $2998 recommended fitted retail price, it includes a black front under spoiler, black door mirror covers, a black side skirt set, a black rear under spoiler and four black 17-inch alloy wheels.
“The ‘Black Pack’ edition proved to be extremely popular with dealers and customers when we launched the all-new Honda Civic sedan, so we’ve extended the scope for customers to individualise the all-new Civic hatch with the introduction of the Orange Edition,” Honda Australia Director, Mr. Stephen Collins said.
