At first glance there's little difference between the current Nissan Pathfinder and the revised model captured here on test by the indomitable lensmen at Carparazzi.
However a closer look at the front end reveals Nissan's designers appear to be giving the workhorse wagon a new, more contemporary frontal aspect that uses most of the current elements but presents a more V-shaped countenance to the world. This means a wider centre grille and more swept-back outer edges of the bumper section incorporating the fog lights.
There's also a revised skid plate with more pronounced ribs below the licence plate that is reflected by a similar design in the rear bumper.
Also, the headlights have adopted a few changes although they are mostly invisible in these spy shots apart from the new outboard location of the indicator lenses.
It is expected that the basic mechanicals of the Pathfinder will remain essentially unchanged.
No word when the revised Pathy will appear, although it's expected that an all-new model will appear sometime in 2012, which leads to speculation that the 4WD Nissan you see here might arrive some time in 2009.
