Mitsubishi dealers around the country have already received their first allocation of the new Outlander in a three-tier range priced from below $29,000.
As we reported from the Australian International Motor Show last month, the range kicks off here with conventional models now, to be followed by a plug-in hybrid model next year. The base model is the Outlander ES, which is priced from $28,990. A mid-range level of trim, the Outlander LS, comes in at $34,990 and the range-topping Outlander Aspire is listed at $43,990. “The next-generation Outlander offers outstanding value and versatility combined with a refined design and premium features,” Mitsubishi CEO Mutsuhiro Oshikiri was quoted saying in a press release issued by the importer.
“Since the next-generation Outlander was unveiled at the Australian International Motorshow in October we have experienced strong interest in the new Outlander range and anticipate it will be popular with customers.”
To date, according to Mitsubishi, the new Outlander has sold more than 10,000 units in Japan, Europe and Russia since its launch – starting with Russia in July.
Locally, Mitsubishi will launch the new Outlander to the media early next month, and motoring.com.au will have a full report on the new model then.
