Mitsubishi has rushed out a limited-edition model based on the entry-level ES model in the ASX range, just weeks after the mainstream model launched in Australia.
Named the Mitsubishi ASX Black Edition, the new variant is priced at $25,490 – the same figure as the ASX ES with continuously-variable transmission. Only 1000 units will be sold, Mitsubishi advises, and colour options will be limited to Starlight, Black and Titanium.
Cosmetic enhancements include gloss-black finish for the alloy wheels, exterior mirrors and front skid plate. Additionally, the Black Edition model comes with a chrome exhaust tip, front fog lights, privacy glass and integrated indicators in the mirrors.
Inside, the ASX Black Edition is equipped with aluminium pedals, carbon-fibre centre fascia trim, 'leatherette' seat bolsters, micro-suede seat inserts and red stitching for the steering wheel rim/gear knob/handbrake lever. The specification is completed with rear parking sensors and keyless starting.
