MINI Australia has confirmed price and specification details for the Kensington Edition Cooper and Cooper S, which go on sale in Australia from this month.
Just 60 vehicles in total will be offered in Australia, comprising 15 respective examples of the Cooper and Cooper S three-door, and Cooper and Cooper S five-door.
Pricing starts at $41,900 drive away for the three-door Cooper hatch, the sportier Cooper S three-door chiming in at $52,900. The five-door Cooper starts at $43,150, while the five-door Cooper S tops the range at $54,150.

With the drive away offer in place, the Kensington Edition represents a circa $7000 premium over the equivalent MINI Cooper and Cooper S ranges.
Externally, the Kensington Edition is distinguished by Pure Burgundy metallic exterior paint and an illuminated door sill – the first installation of its kind on an Australian-specification MINI. There are also contrasting black mirror caps and roof and a black JCW rear spoiler.
Inside, the Kensington Edition boasts a panoramic sunroof, piano black highlights and anthracite headliner.

On the equipment front, the limited-edition version features an 8.8-inch Navigation Plus system, climate control, wireless phone charging, 17-inch alloy wheels, cloth/leather upholstery, leather steering wheel and a driver assist package bringing automated emergency braking (AEB), high beam assist and speed sign recognition.
The Cooper S adds larger 17-inch wheels, heated front seats and Carbon Black ‘lounge leather’ upholstery.
The Cooper Kensington Edition employs a familiar 1.5-litre turbo-petrol three-cylinder, while the Cooper S variants use a sportier 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder – both tied to a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The Kensington Edition is strictly limited to 800 variants globally and is available to order via the MINI Australia website now.
