McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has created a tailor-made 720S claimed to pay tribute to the company's founder, Bruce McLaren.
The one-off 720S, painted in black with gold wheels, was commissioned by a customer in Dubai.

A quote from the F1 legend from New Zealand - written in Arabic - appears on the rear spoiler. The inscription translates to: "Life is measured in achievement, not in years alone".
As well as paying tribute to the late race team owner, the special 720S livery also gives a nod to the original 1992 McLaren F1 by mimicking its 24-carat gold heat-shield.

Gold reappears inside with the steering wheel, gearshift paddles and metallic door card strip made, or coated with, the precious metal.
Beneath the skin the 720S is believed to remain standard.
Which means it comes with the regular 537kW/770Nm twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 capable of hurtling the lightweight supercar to 100km/h in 2.9 seconds and 200km/h in just 7.8 seconds.

McLaren has not disclosed by how much the one-off 720S exceeded the standard $489,900 sticker.
The commemorative 720S follows the August reveal at Pebble Beach of a custom one-off fuchsia pink coupe.
