How to top up your windscreen washer fluid

Open the bonnet and locate the windscreen washer fluid reservoir. It’s usually easily visible with a bright blue or yellow lid. It may be less obvious on some cars, so if you get stuck, check your owner’s manual.
Step 2
Remove the cap. Some vehicles use a dipstick-style measuring tool, while others just need to be filled up to a “FULL” line on the plastic reservoir or simply until the fluid level is close to the top.
Step 3
If you’re using a washer additive, read the packaging to make sure you put the correct amount in, as most are a concentrate and need to be diluted with water.
Carefully, using a clean funnel if needed, pour the washer additive into the reservoir.
Step 4
Next, fill the remainder of the tank up with clean water, until it’s at the recommended level.
Step 5
While you’re at it, check your car’s wiper blades are in good condition by carefully lifting the wiper arms up to inspect the rubber blades for any cracking or fraying.
Replace them as soon as possible if needed.
