The Bespoke Design team at Rolls-Royce's Goodwood facility has raised the bar to a new level with its Serenity show car, based on the company's Phantom flagship.
Just a couple of weeks ago, the famous British brand revealed it would be presenting its Serenity model at the Geneva show, but disclosed little else about the car.
The company has now lifted the lid on the show car, a Phantom that has been retrimmed in a silk motif, as was explained by Torsten Müller-Ötvös, the company CEO.
"Celebrating the historical role played by silk as a symbol of ultimate elegance, the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bespoke Design team has created a magnificent one-off Phantom which will set a new benchmark for luxury individualisation in the motor industry, and reaffirm that Bespoke is Rolls-Royce."
In addition to the painted silk fabric, sourced from China, the Serenity also features Smoked Cherrywood panelling, Arctic White leather and laser-cut Mother of Pearl.
Serenity blurs the line between one-off concept car and one-off production car. Unlike the many design studies presented by volume manufacturers in Geneva, Serenity could conceivably be offered to paying customers as a 'production' car for sale – through the Bespoke Design team.
