The No 25 BMW Team Schnitzer M3 GT2 recently upset the fancied Audi and Porsche squads to claim victory at the punishing Nürburgring 24-hour race, and G-Power isn't letting the occasion go to waste.
The Brunsbüttel-based BMW tweaker has just released the first pics and details of the M3-based Tornado CS and GT2 S, both of which get a massive performance injection via G-Power's SK II CS supercharger system, lightened wheels, and a 'Clubsport' coilover system.
Notwithstanding its evocative name, it's the Tornado that's the more visually restrained of the two. The GT2 S is a turnkey racecar that well-heeled punters will be able to cart straight to the track for competitive action.
The supercharged engine that's common to both cars cranks out a massive 441kW and 580Nm, and its maker quotes a theoretical top speed of 320km/h with the standard six-speed manual (or 330km/h with the seven-speed DCT).
The GT2 S is a formidable looking package with its massively pumped guards, steamroller rubber and ironing board-mimicking rear wing, but even the 'real-world' Tornado CS has a purposeful stance.
It's certainly no slouch, as G-Power quotes a 0-100km/h split of under 4.3sec, while 200 klicks flash past in just 11.8sec.
The Tornado CS doesn't strike us as bad value, as G-Power can perform the conversion from a standard M3 for €10,800 ($16,000) -- and that includes the supercharger set-up, new intakes, titanium exhaust, installation and tuning.
Splashing out some more cash gets you a bootlid-mounted lip spoiler and rear diffuser with integrated running light.
The Tornado CS and GT2 S gain carbonfibre front seats, and the racecar ditches the rear seats altogether. This plus other mods contribute to an overall weight saving of 150kg.
The GT2 S is billed as G-Power Motorsport's first official vehicle, and its ex-Germany pre-tax price is pegged at €139,495 ($206,840). It seems Porsche's 911 GT3 RS needn't be the default choice for gentleman racers any more...
