You're looking at the best indications yet of the look of the next generation Ford Focus. In lifting the wraps off its new C-MAX range of peoplemovers at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Blue Oval has delivered a clear pointer to the forthcoming Focus update.
While the trendy family vehicles (or MAVs -- multi-activity vehicles -- as Ford calls them) have been on sale for a few years in Europe and are heading across the pond to America, there are no plans for an Australian release of the car. However, the new models, which are available in five- and seven-seat configurations, do provide an insight as to how the important new Focus will be styled -- a vehicle that will be coming to Down Under.
The new C-MAX's front end shows off a somewhat angular design that adheres to Ford's global design philosophy, nicknamed the 'kinetic design' language, with stylised headlights and a gaping front air dam. This is expected to be the basis for the next generation Focus that was once destined to be manufactured in Australia, but will now be imported after the business case collapsed.
