ABDC 2017: Australia’s Best Driver’s Car returns

Now in its third year, motoring.com.au’s Australia’s Best Driver’s Car awards already attracts interest from car enthusiasts in every corner of the globe and popularity continues to grow.

Previous winners are the Porsche Cayman GTS (2015) and BMW M2 (2016).

Underway in Tasmania the 2017 ABDC awards will seek to determine the most dynamic and involving driver’s car available in Australia.

Testing will again comprise acceleration performance data, on-track dynamic evaluation and timing, and, crucially, a week-long drive over some of Tasmania’s best roads. As well as our regular senior road test team, we also welcome back V8 Supercar drivers Greg Crick and Luke Youlden.

Eligible vehicles are price-capped at $250,000 (MRLP) with this year’s field ranging from $41,990 to $189,000. All cars must be available to the mass market, meaning no kit cars or special imports are permitted.

There will be only one winner.

This year, motoring.com.au has decided on a competitor list of 12 performance cars, the value of which totals almost $1.3 million. In alphabetical order, the entrants are:
