MY25 AX7L Wagon 7st 5dr Auto 6sp 522kg 2.0T While medium SUVs are ubiquitous, seven-seat versions are harder to come by. Indian powerhouse Mahindra is looking to change that with the sharply priced, feature-packed front-drive XUV700. Two grades are available: AX7 and AX7L, the latter including automatic LED headlights and taillights, daytime running lights with dynamic indicators, dual-zone climate control, six-way electronically operated driver's seat and a panoramic glass sunroof. The powerplant is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine developing a healthy 149kW/380Nm between 1750 and 3000rpm and driving through a six-speed auto gearbox. Safety tech includes autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera but there's no A NCAP rating as yet.
