6th Gen MY26 e:HEV Liftback 2dr CVT 1sp 2.0i/135kW Hybrid After more than two decades off the scene, the new-generation Honda Prelude arrives with a very different formula to what enthusiasts may have expected. Exuding a strong whiff of Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZ, the sleek Honda coupe adopts the Civic's 147kW 2.0-litre e:HEV hybrid system, its 315Nm out-torquing the Toyota GR86 (250Nm). It drives the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission, with the brand's new selectable 'S+ Shift' technology on hand to simulate the sound and feel of a torque converter automatic, or even a dual-clutch automatic. Borrowing heavily from the Civic Type R, it has dual-axis front suspension, adaptive dampers and a Brembo braking package - hardware typically reserved for higher-end performance models.
