P05 Ultra Utility Dual Cab 4dr Spts Auto 9sp 4WD 2.4DT The GWM Cannon Alpha ute arrived in Australia in mid 2024 with a segment-first 255kW/648Nm series/parallel petrol-electric hybrid powertrain as well as a 2.4-litre 135kW/480Nm turbo-diesel. Both use a nine-speed automatic transmission, a new all-terrain system with three drive modes, a Borg Warner low-range transfer case, locking front and rear diffs and a tow rating of 3.5 tonnes. Larger and more luxurious than the regular GWM Cannon, the Alpha boasts a 14.6-inch touch-screen, 10-speaker Infinity audio, wireless phone charging and heated, ventilated and massaging, Nappa-clad front seats (grade dependent).
