P05 Lux PHEV Utility Dual Cab 4dr Spts Auto 9sp 4WD 2.0T/120kW Hybrid The GWM Cannon Alpha ute arrived in Australia in mid-2024 with a 255kW/648Nm series/parallel petrol-electric hybrid powertrain complemented by a 2.4-litre 135kW/480Nm turbo-diesel. In early 2025, the range was supplemented by a PHEV version with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and an electric motor to produce combined outputs of 300kW and 750Nm and a 110km pure-electric range. Common across Cannon Alphas is a nine-speed automatic transmission, an all-terrain system with three drive modes, a low-range transfer case, locking front and rear diffs and a tow rating of 3.5 tonnes. The Cannon Alpha boasts a 14.6-inch touch-screen, wireless phone charging and heated, ventilated and massaging, Nappa-clad front seats (grade dependent).
