MY26 Dynamic Cab Chassis 4dr Auto 1sp AWD 900kg 1.5T Hybrid BYD's game-changing Shark 6 ute and cab-chassis range has a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, an electric motor on both axles and a 29.5kWh LFP battery pack mounted into a ladder frame chassis. The hybrid AWD ute offers a combined 321kW/650Nm output with no low range gears, no differential locks and an independent double wishbone suspension. To all intents and purposes it mostly drives like an almost-luxurious, bigger-than-Ranger EV and performs off road like a proper mud-plugger. When the engine does kick in to recharge the battery or drive the wheels it does so quietly and smoothly. The 350kW/700Nm Performance flagship Shark 6 ute can tow up to 3.5 tonnes.
