EQE MY25 Essential Hatchback 5dr Auto 1sp 65kW BYD's new, pint-size Atto 1 doesn't come with much real estate. The four-seater measures up just under four metres long and there are two models: the base Essential, with a puny-sounding 65kW e-motor and the more athletic 1Q16Kw Premium which gets a bigger battery pack and an extended range from the Essential's 220km to 310km (Urban WLTP ranges of 365km and 507km respectively are quoted). Well-designed and executed, it's packed with gear and the 308 litre boot expands to 1037 litres with the rear 50:50 seat folded. The Premium gets a BYD-signature rotating 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 7.0-inch digital instrument panel, wireless Apple CarPlay /Android Auto and synthetic leather seats, power-adjustable up front.
