GAC 's outrageous M8 is claimed to be a top seller in China and really goes for broke with standard spec. Powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine combined with an electric motor via a two-speed transmission, the M8 relies on a 25kWh modular lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery to cover 106km on battery power alone and more than 1000km when both systems are in play. Technology, includes draft-free air-conditioning, a 6.6-litre fridge, high-grade leather upholstery, ten-way adjustable seats with individual LCD digital screen and a 10.1-inch multimedia screen with wireless smartphone mirroring.
