The dual-range 4x4 F-150 has a 298kW/678Nm petrol twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 drinking 12.5L/100km of regular unleaded fuel from a 136-litre tank. The payload, in an exceptionally long tray, is an unimpressive 794kg - or less if using-up the rated 4.5-tonne towing capacity. The interior is cavernous and safety tech includes autonomous emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring - although the more tech-savvy Lariat adds extra functions including stop and go in slow-moving traffic, lane centring, evasive steering assist, speed-sign recognition and bird's-eye parking cameras.
