We took delivery of this Long Range Highland Model 3 in February 2024 & is has travelled a mere 44000km.
The Highland is a huge improvement over the older Model 3 that it replaced. Much quieter, more comfortable, really smooth power & over 100km increased range.
The car is in immaculate condition & would suit a potential new car buyer that wants the extras we have fitted.
We just don't need 2 cars anymore. They both sit in the carport most of the time.
I'm not going to list all the usual stuff that all Model 3's come with as I am sure you already know what they come with.
The Long Range Model 3 does have some nice extras over the standard Model 3.
These include:
- Long Range NMC battery with charging speeds up to 250kW
- Upgraded audio system with dual subwoofers & amplifiers
- Black synthetic suede interior door material
It also has the following upgrades:
Tesla Stealth Grey premium metallic paint
Tesla Enhanced Auto Pilot
Tesla Homelink auto garage door opener
EV Towbars stealth towbar, tongue & ball & all the wiring
Tesstudio indicator & gear selector stalks
Tesla 240V mobile charger
Stealth Grey paint. Just looks really nice.
Enhanced Auto Pilot turns the standard Autopilot into something really useful. It adds Navigate on Auto Pilot, Auto Lane Changing & Self Parking to the mix.
Auto Lane Changing works really well on the highway. Just indicate & if the car deems it to be safe it will change lanes for you without disengaging Autopilot. In a standard car Autopilot disengages every time you do a lane change.
Self Parking works really well too. It will show all the available spots, you pick one & touch Start. The car does the rest, smoothly & quickly. Way better than the old self parking in our opinion.
Premium Connectivity adds satellite view maps, speed cameras, live traffic maps, Live View in Sentry Mode, music & video streaming. Lookup Tesla Premium Connectivity for the full list.
Homelink when setup with your remote will automatically open your garage door as the car approaches. We used it to open our electric gate. Really handy when it's raining.
EV Towbars Australia towbar is a hidden type. When the tongue & ball are not attached you cannot see anything. In fact the original cover fits on under the bumper totally hiding the towbar. It takes less than a minute to attach the tongue & wiring plug. The car is rated to tow 1000kg.
Tesstudio indicator & gear stalks. We fitted these because we found the indicator buttons on the steering wheel very awkward to use. Same thing for the gear selector. It was what we were used to & the screen selector was also awkward for us.
These stalks look exactly like the previous model & work in conjunction with the steering wheel buttons & the screen gear selector. You can use whichever one works best for you.
The installation is totally reversable with no changes to the car.
240 volt mobile charger. These used to come with the car but now you have to buy them. Yes, they are slow but they work great to trickle charge you car in the garage from a regular power point.
All these extras would cost over $8,000 plus the fitting time but we have done it for you.
