With a new TNGA-F architecture, lighter kerb weights, a downsized, thriftier but more powerful 227kW/700Nm V6 twin-turbo diesel engine, no V8 and wholesale technology updates, the latest LandCruiser looks and feels uncannily familiar to its predecessor. Notable for improved capability, comfort and luxury, the 300 Series comes in six models in six or seven-seat configurations. Autonomous emergency braking, pedestrian/cyclist detection, active cruise control and lane-keep assist are universally standard. The LandCruiser remains with a ladder-frame chassis and independent front/live-axle rear suspension.
