2021 Tesla Model 3 Performance | Track-Ready, Road-Legal, Zero Compromise
Garaged | Covered | Ceramic Coated and PPF’d| Heavily Modified
If you’re coming from a performance oriented petrol car, you already know what separates a driver’s car from a showroom special. This isn’t a stock Model 3. It’s been built.
The Platform
0–100 in 3.3 seconds. Not on a good day — every time, in any weather, with zero warm-up. No clutch to slip, no turbo lag, no rev range to chase. Just immediate, linear torque that will rearrange your face from the first metre. This is the Performance variant — dual motor, 340kW, rear-biased AWD.
The Chassis
This is where it gets serious. MCA fully adjustable Sport coilovers replace the factory setup — if you know MCA’s reputation in circuit and time attack, you know what that means – MCA is based here in Australia (Queensland) so there is local support. These units are fully rebuildable too. The Mountain Pass Performance catalogue has also been thrown to get the best possible handling. Its got the MPP Sport Upgrade 2 kit and solid front lower control arm bearings installed - the geometry is locked, the flex is gone, and the feedback through the wheel is transformed. This isn’t a street softener — it’s a car to be driven. And those billet aluminium control arms are a work of art in MPP blue too. OEM Pirelli P Zero tyres are fitted to the 20 inch Uberturbine wheels which are unmarked – very unusual for a Tesla. To provide that very last ounce of performance and tyre durability, nitrogen fills the Pirelli P Zeros. No stone left unturned.
The Body
Adro carbon fibre front spoiler and rear valance — not copies, these are the real deal. Carbon fibre camera covers, carbon mirror caps and genuine carbon mud flaps nicely complement the Midnight Silver Metallic paint. PPF covers the full front end to the front doors meaning the paint beneath is unmarked. The whole car has been ceramic coated, even over the top of the PPF. It looks like it was delivered yesterday, the paint slickness will impress even a hard core car enthusiast. Its cared for using Onyx car care products.
The Inside
What a lovely place to be. Alcantara steering wheel wrap professionally installed with red alcantara 12 o’clock marker. RPM Tesla carbon fibre has been used extensively throughout the cabin as you can see in the photos - its been tastefully done. Car Mats Culture car mats have been selected along with an interior boot cover to match. The already amazing premium sound system has been improved with the addition of a Kicker 8” subwoofer in the OEM box.
Bottom line - the interior is as-new
The Reality Check
You won’t miss shifting gears. You will miss the noise — that’s the honest truth.
What you’ll gain is point-and-shoot acceleration that no naturally aspirated car and very few turbocharged ones can touch, a chassis that’s been properly sorted, and running costs that will genuinely make you laugh compared to what you were spending on fuel and servicing for your performance oriented petrol car. You will avoid the risk of Premium 98 unleaded price volatility and if you have solar and a battery at home, it can literally cost you nothing to keep it charged. Nothing. Think about that next time you fill up at the petrol station.
Its an HW3 car but has FSD paid for ($10,000 option at purchase) so all you need to do is wait till its available for the HW3 platform and you’ll be good to go. Has enhanced Autopilot installed. Also comes with original mobile charger and a high amperage extension cord for when travelling to allow charging from a domestic socket if needed. Car has been charged at home on a 7kw charger to between 60 and 80% so the battery has been treated right.
This car has just less than 28,000 kilometres on the clock and I am the second owner and a full service history is available through the Tesla mobile app. Clean PPSR.
Quite possibly the best 2021 Model 3 Performance car for sale in Australia.
