Overview
V1 MY21 STI EJ25 Final Edition Sedan 4dr Man 6sp AWD 2.5T Subaru's WRX has been with us since it thundered onto the scene in 1994 with a 155kW/290Nm 2.0-litre boxer engine, constant all-wheel drive and hi-po V8s in its sights. The formula has not really changed. Today's WRX comes in regular 197kW/350Nm 2.0-litre specification, or as the hard-charging, six-speed manual 221kW/407Nm 2.5-litre STI with 19-inch wheels and selectable driving modes. Above that, there's the spec.R variant, complete with Brembo brakes, Recaro seats and a sportier suspension setup. Lineartronic CVT-transmission WRX models get Subaru's Eyesight Assist Monitor as standard. With an all-new WRX due in late 2021, Subaru launched a dressed-up, STI spec.R-based Final Edition model in mid-year.
