It is available in four specification levels " 2.5i, L, Premium and the top-spec S " and there are two powertrains: An aspirated 2.5-litre four-cylinder boxer engine producing 136kW/239Nm with 7.4L/100km fuel economy and 168g/km CO2 emissions, and a new 2.0-litre boxer-based mild hybrid claiming 6/7L/100km fuel consumption with a 152g/km CO2 output. All Foresters get active cruise control, blind-spot monitors, lane-change assist, steering-responsive LED headlights and rear cross traffic alert. The Forester offers truly generous passenger space and luggage capacity " the latter beginning at 422 litres and expanding to 1768 litres with rear seats folded.
