After an eight-year hiatus beginning in 2005 it returned to market in 2013 and today comes in 131kW/221Nm aspirated 2.5-litre ES 250 and 300h hybrid forms, in three grades: Luxury, F-Sport and (except for the ES 250) Sports Luxury. The 2.5-litre four-cylinder based petrol-electric ES300h claims 4.6L/100km fuel economy compared to the ES 250's 6.6L/100km. In addition to front and rear autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and the common supplementary safety aids, the Lexus ES300h comes with head-up display, satellite navigation, wireless phone charging, automatic rain-sensing wipers, sunroof, power-adjustable steering column and road-sign recognition.
