G42 220i M Sport Coupe 2dr Steptronic 8sp 2.0T With the mid 2021 launch of its second generation 2 Series coupe, BMW's small two-door fell into line with the rest of the 2 (and 1 Series) range. Until then, only the 2 Series Gran Coupe version had embraced BMW's new-epoch technology, which offers the choice of front-drive or AWD formats. The new 2 Series coupe now comes as a 2.0-litre front-drive 135kW/300Nm 220i, or a longitudinally-mounted AWD 285kW/500Nm 3.0-litre six-cylinder M240i. It's also longer, lower and wider than previously to give a more balanced stance, avoiding the mega-grille styling of the new 4 Series coupe. The 220i gets a standard M Sport package, along with BMW's eight-speed auto gearbox.
