4S MY21 performance Coupe 2dr S tronic 7sp quattro 5.2i The mid-engined R8 supercar is Audi's halo model. Available as a coupe or a Spyder convertible, the 5.2-litre V10-engined R8 comes in either "base" 397kW/540Nm rear-drive form, or as the performance quattro AWD, winding out 449kW and 560Nm and stopping the (coupe) clock from zero to 100km/h in 3.2sec. Supported by Audi's magnetic ride system (performance quattro), the R8 drives through a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and is stopped by eight-piston front brakes with ventilated and perforated discs. The V10 performance quattro version uses carbon fibre reinforced ceramic brakes. Four suspension modes, and full suite of comfort items mix unrestrained performance with indulgent luxury.
