Now in its second generation, the all-AWD Tiguan offers more of everything: More space inside either the regular five-seater, or seven-seat capability in the extended Allspace version. The bigger, 615-litre boot expands to 1655 litres seats-folded (700 litres and 1775 litres in the Allspace). The second-generation Tiguan brings upgraded, across-the-board safety tech that includes autonomous emergency braking, lane-departure warning and self-parking capability and comes with a standard seven-speed dual-clutch auto gearbox. The engine choices in regular five-seat Tiguans and seven-seat Allspace versions are between two 2.0-litre turbo-petrols: a 132kW/320Nm 132TSI and a 162kW/350Nm 162TSI.
