Volkswagen's Golf 7.5 came in 2017 with a sharpened-up front and rear styling end featuring a new apron below reworked headlights, and a new rear bumper topped by now-LED tail lights in addition to new, larger wheels. Standard autonomous emergency braking, a driver fatigue detection system and new gesture-control screens on the dash help to further refine a sophisticated package. There's just one engine for the five-door Golf hatch: A 1.4-litre four-cylinder producing 110kW/250Nm that drives the front wheels either via a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed, dual-clutch automated manual. The new eighth-generation Golf is due later in 2020.
