Overview
Toyota's contender in the busy light SUV marketplace aims to suit the buyer demographic with stand-out styling, an edgy interior and easy driving manners underscored by peppy performance and excellent fuel economy. Introduced in 2016 and updated in late 2019 (with standard Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, plus minor changes inside and out), the C-HR range spreads from an 85kW/185Nm 1.2-litre four-cylinder, in base and top-spec Koba form, to a 90kW/142Nm 1.8-litre hybrid. CVT transmission is standard and front-drive or AWD are optional in all but the latter. All C-HRs get adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, self-dipping headlights, blind spot monitoring and lane departure alert with steering assist.
