TFS40J GT Utility Dual Cab 4dr Spts Auto 6sp 4x4 1065kg 3.0DT Once Ford-based but now shared with Isuzu's D-Max workhorse, Mazda's all-new BT-50 arrives in dual-cab form only, in ute and cab-chassis guises. Powered by a 140kW/450Nm 3.0-litre turbo-diesel (147kW/470Nm for the previous 3.2-litre five-cylinder) and quoting slightly-reduced load capacities of 1055kg to 1220kg, the new BT-50 remains with a 3500kg maximum towing capacity. Available in 4x4 (dual-range) and 4x2 guise, the BT-50 offers six-speed manual or auto gearboxes. Fuel economy improves to between 7.7l/100km and 8.0L/100km. Impressive (five-star) safety features include autonomous emergency braking, automatic high beam, blind spot monitoring, emergency lane keeping, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, rear cross traffic alert, rollover protection and secondary collision reduction.
