When it was launched in 2014, the BMW i8, with its rear mounted combustion engine, supplemented by forward mounted electric , was only the second rear-engined BMW sports car after the legendary M1. The iconic BMW i8 Roadster was released in 2018, in the final stage of the BMW i8 model life cycle, when BMW upgraded both the battery pack and the motor for the i8. Only 2,400 BMW i8 Roadsters built and just 24 delivered to Australian customers .... This is one of the last 6 delivered in Australia late 2020. It is one of the first collectable hybrid sports cars and will appreciate over time. Driving dynamics were also improved with an emphasis on power steering calibration, body stiffness, stability control and infotainment system was also updated so the screen mounted in the middle uses BMW’s latest ‘tile’ layout and operating system.
