The SLC packs a handy 335-litre boot (roof up) and features a typically-Mercedes approach to safety with standard high and low-speed autonomous emergency braking, six airbags and fixed rollover protection. The range begins with a (manual or auto) 115kW/250Nm 1.6-litre four-cylinder, moves up to 2.0-litre 135kW/300Nm SLC 200 and 180kW/370Nm SLC 300 to the SLC 43 AMG " all but the base version equipped with the 9G-Tronic auto transmission.
