Modifications made to improve performance are limited to low profile tyres, beefier shocks and struts and larger single exhaust. All original items included with car if you ever wish to return to factory default.

The latest iteration brings two normally aspirated four-cylinder engine alternatives " a 1.5-litre producing 96kW/150Nm and a 118kW/200Nm 2.0-litre " plus a folding-hardtop RF coupe variant that electrically lowers or raises the roof in just 13sec. Rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring are standard, as are sat-nav and LED headlights. For a true sports car experience, there's nothing quite like the Mazda MX-5.
