BL Ambiente Wagon 5dr Auto 6sp 1.5i Ford's mini SUV, the front-drive-only EcoSport, was revised in 2018 with a reconfigured engine lineup, an external visual refresh and a revised interior with a new, easier arrangement for folding the back seats. Already a pretty handy luggage carrier, the EcoSport rates well in its class and, now with a conventional six-speed all-auto transmission, performs well too. Today's base engine is a 90kW/150Nm 1.5-litre three-cylinder which is joined by an also three-cylinder EcoBoost 1.0-litre powerplant producing 92kW/170Nm. Default safety tech includes seven airbags, anti-lock braking, stability control and traction control, aided by blind-spot sensors, a rear camera and rear cross-traffic alert.
