The front/mid-engined Vantage is based on the same modular platform as the DB11 but is shorter, lighter and more driver-focused. Powered by the familiar 4.0-litre V8 seen in DB11, producing in this case 375kW/685Nm, it rates as arguably the most polished Aston, ever. Standard equipment includes keyless entry, blind-spot monitoring, auto park assist, Mercedes-derived infotainment touchpad, glass switchgear, electronically-adjustable steering column and conventional cruise control. The Vantage leverages the company's bonded aluminium platform and partnership with Daimler to arrive as a serious competitor to both the 911 and the AMG GT.
