NH MY17 Monte Carlo Spaceback 5dr Man 6sp 1.2T Skoda's Rapid Spaceback is a Volkswagen Golf-size five-door hatch with a roomy luggage area and much of the expected charm of the car-maker from the Czech Republic. There are two variants " the base model and the pricier and better-equipped Monte Carlo " plus two engines and two transmissions. The base engine is an 81kW/175Nm 1.2-litre turbo that is supplemented by the bigger and more powerful 92kW/200Nm 1.4-litre variant. Transmissions are a six-speed manual and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Six airbags, stability control and anti-lock brakes contribute to a full five-star ANCAP safety rating.
