Let’s cut to it. First off you are clearly intelligent if you are looking at a Skoda Octavia. You already know what fantastic value they are compared to similar cars that frankly are exactly the same. So I don’t need to tell you about all the driverless aids it has, auto park street drive etc. you know that. That’s why you are here. So why this car compared to the others.
1. I was the first real owner, I bought it as a Demo. So technically two owns but one was a dealer, so kind of one.
2. Tech Pack - The biggest oversized touch screen with apple car play plus every single safety feature you could ask for. Lane assist. Auto stop, both rear and forward auto traffic avoidance. Cross traffic avoidance, dynamic cruise so keeps the distance constant on the freeway. Will even come to a stop if the traffic get bad. Basically you can’t crash this thing even if you tried. It is very very safe.
3. Luxury Pack - Full Leather seats, electric adjustable with profiles that match the driver. So perfect for multiple drivers as you do not need to mess around with settings or climate, seat position. Has zone climate control. 4 heated seats, unlike the cloth ones which are not electric and do not have heated seats.
4. Comes with snapshades for the car, will include them. Also has the book, floor mat, two sided boot mat (rubber one side carpet the other) plus all the nets, the dividers etc for the boot. Pay the asking price and I’ll throw in a baby seat as well if you really need it.
5. It has been under a service and warranty pack with Skoda for its entire life, so always serviced at Skoda and no expense spared (hence the real name tyres all matching) gets serviced around August every year.
So when price comparing other models, look for the luxury and tech pack. Check the seats and the screen and of course the tyres.
The Not So Good:
1. It has done 104,000km+ so has some wear and tear, with stone chips, scuff marks etc. Like any car with this number of KMs. A good buff and polish will clear up a lot of it most can be fixed with just some touch up paint.
2. It will need new brake pads in the next 12 months, ($300ish) as I am not planning on keeping it I haven't done that and it is fine for now. You can make the choice of the quality you get.
3. Probably needs new wipers I might put them in before I sell it, if not you can pick the type you want.
Usual questions: not on wovr, no engine or transmission replacement, etc etc.
