Reluctantly parting with my much-loved 2017 Land Rover Discovery Series 5 TD6 HSE Luxury. This car has been an absolute cracker for our family, and the only reason it's going is because I'm upgrading to the new Discovery.
Why I'm selling: Straightforward upgrade to the latest Discovery model. Nothing mechanical, nothing hidden, no dramas... just time for the next chapter.
Condition: Excellent throughout, inside and out. She's been garaged her entire life here in Queens Park, which means the paint, leather, and trim have been protected. No dings, no dramas, no neglected corners. The interior presents beautifully... the leather seats are supple and unmarked, the dash and trim are clean, and the third-row seating has barely been used. Exterior paint is deep and glossy with no fading.
Service history: Full, documented service history... Every service done on time, every time... no corners cut, no skipped intervals. I've kept receipts and records, so whoever buys her can see exactly what's been done, when, and by whom. This is a car that's been loved and looked after by someone who understands that a Land Rover rewards proper care.
Kilometres: Approximately 114,000 km — well within the sweet spot for a TD6 diesel, which is known for going comfortably past 300,000 km when maintained properly (which this one has been).
Ownership: Two owners total, including me... The previous owner was equally diligent, which is why I bought her in the first place.
The drive: The 3.0L TD6 diesel is genuinely one of the best engines Land Rover has produced... smooth, torquey, quiet, and surprisingly economical for a vehicle of this size and capability. Seven seats, full-time 4WD, air suspension, Terrain Response... all the features that make the Discovery the benchmark family SUV and genuine off-roader.

Using a Range Rover-based aluminium-intense monocoque structure and seating as many as seven passengers, the slick 4x4 spans from a base, five-seat S version to the premium First Edition model and is available with three diesel engines: 132kW/430Nm 2.0-litre Td4, 177kW/500Nm 2.0-litre S d4 and 190kW/600Nm 3.0-litre V6 Td6. Eight-speed auto transmission is standard. At S level, the range of options is huge, and decreases with the move up-spec, where more equipment is standard.
