4G MY18 Sedan 4dr S tronic 7sp quattro 2.0T Audi's A6 luxury sedan and allroad wagon face off against an essentially rear-drive market segment with front-drive or quattro all-wheel drive, and a range of engines beginning with a tiny 140kW/320Nm 1.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol tasked with motivating 1.7 tonnes of vehicle. In this age of rampant downsizing that's nothing exceptional and, at least, there are bigger engines: A 140kW/400Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel and, at the point where AWD drivelines kick in, a 185kW/370Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and two 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6s, producing either 160kW/500Nm or a hard-hitting 235kW/650Nm. Equipment, even in base form, runs to sat-nav, leather, power front seats, bi-Xenon headlights, smart-phone integration and 10-speaker audio.
