2017 Alfa Romeo Stelvio First Edition – The Driver’s SUV Beautiful & Highly Optioned
There is a reason the Stelvio is named after the most famous driving road in the Italian Alps. It is one of the few SUVs in the world that truly handles like a sports hatchback, and this First Edition example has been an absolute joy to own.
As my company vehicle during the week and our family "adventure wagon" on the weekend, it has served me and my family and me incredibly well. I am only selling because our family has finally outgrown it—otherwise, I would happily keep it for another seven years.

First Edition Wagon 5dr Spts Auto 8sp AWD 2.2DT Alfa Romeo entered uncharted waters in March 2018 when it launched its first SUV, the Stelvio, early in 2018. Closely related to the new Alfa Giulia, the Stelvio is a classy, well-executed alternative to, for example, an Audi Q5. Arriving in base and Ti versions with a choice of 148kW/330Nm or 206kW/400Nm (the latter in Ti) 2.0-litre turbo-petrol power, or a 154kW/470Nm 2.1-litre turbo-diesel, the Stelvio employs an eight-speed auto gearbox and drives through all four wheels. Universal safety tech includes autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, sat-nav, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and Alfa Romeo's DNA drive mode system.
