With seven seats, a strong and relatively thrifty (9.0L/100km) 147kW/441Nm 3.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, dual-range off-road transmission and a five-speed auto gearbox the Pajero mixes utility with function. Fully independent suspension and Mitsubishi's Super Select full-time 4WD system along with a rear differential lock help it off-road. Five-star, six-airbag ANCAP safety, front and rear climate-control, digital radio, rear-view camera and alloy wheels are standard fare, with up-spec models adding sat-nav, leather trim, power-adjusted and heated front seats and auto-dipping Xenon headlights.
