Our family have had Mercedes vehicles since the 60s, and they’ve always been part of the family. We purchased this car from a Launceston local who used it as a weekender and had put 16k kms on it when we purchased it in 2022. Since then, we have driven it an average of 9500km/year, and a total of 43,000km, and have used it mostly as our tourer for drives to the East Coast.
Fuel efficiency: We recorded about 10.9/100km over long-term mixed driving. We are conservative drivers, so if you drive it like an AMG, it won’t be that good! 😇
It has always been serviced on time, and immaculately maintained by arguably the best Euro mechanic in Launceston, Paul Gill of Goldstar Motors. This car has the AMG-uprated version of the most reliable modern Mercedes engine, the M276. We have always kept it clean, and have carnauba-waxed the paint regularly.
It has all the documents and books that came with it. It is an incredibly safe car to drive. We consider it exceedingly reliable as well, as it has never failed us in the time we have owned it.
We are switching one of our vehicles to electric and keeping one Mercedes, so this car must now go to a new home.

A normal service includes:
An engine oil and filter change only, with a comprehensive check of all other systems and components. All necessary documents and schedules will be provided with the car so that it can be maintained by any independent garage.
Major service items recently completed:
- A near-new (<1500km) set of four Pirelli P-Zero tyres, recently purchased from Bob Jane T-Mart in Launceston.
- The battery was replaced in September 2023, and will likely not require replacement again till year 2029-2031.
- The 120,000km-service of its 9-speed transmission has been done EARLY as enough time has passed since new. It will not require transmission service again for at least five years/120,000km. All other driveline fluids have been checked at the last service.
- Engine air filters and the cabin air filter have been replaced at the last service.
- Brake pads will be replaced before purchase, for the right buyer. Rotors do not currently require service. (Our CLS 400 drove 98,000kms on factory brake pads and rotors!)
