We’re excited to introduce this Menacing 2016 Audi R8 V10 Plus in the extraordinary colour combination of Ibis White over Nappa Leather in Black. Somewhere in Germany, an engineer decided this absolute spaceship needed enough power to rearrange internal organs and thankfully nobody stopped him.
The engine is ridiculous. Brilliantly, gloriously ridiculous. A 5.2-litre V10 sitting behind your head like it’s waiting for permission to cause a small international incident. It doesn’t accelerate - it detonates. It rips this low-slung German missile down the road with the aggression of something that’s just been told it can’t have dessert. It’s loud, it’s sharp, and at 8,500rpm it sounds like thunder arguing with itself.
Inside, it’s less “car” and more “cockpit.” Leather wraps everything that matters and carbon fibre reminds you that you are absolutely not in an A4. The seats clamp you in like they’ve signed a waiver. The flat-bottom steering wheel feels like it belongs in something with a pit crew. And the virtual cockpit politely displays numbers that quickly become legally inconvenient.
And yet… somehow it’s still clever. Quattro traction means you can actually use all 449kW without immediately appearing in a compilation video. Magnetic ride lets it cruise without shattering your spine, then stiffen up the moment you feel mischievous. There’s a front boot big enough for a weekend bag and enough refinement to drive it daily - which feels faintly illegal given what it’s capable of. It does everything a supercar should… and behaves better than it has any right to.
