Based on an already well sorted chassis and drive train, the Yeti covers a wide gamut, price wise with three models, three engine options and a choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG transmissions (also available in the front-wheel-drive version). The AWD versions are competent off-road, with sharp on road manners. The interior is VW like - classy and uncluttered. A big selling point is the rear seat arrangement.
