Used for 3-yr for consultants Inspections ( not a tradie van) from Ballina to Cairns. I grabbed this gem and slapped in a quick single[person camper fitout (from a Hiace so easy to remove) . Carried me, equipment and ladders reliable around SEQ & 4 time to far north QLD and back as well as out west. Kept all my equipment (and myself) safe and out of the rain. This thing just eats the road km effortless its honestly shocking! I own a Landrover Discovery 4 but I prefer driving this van honestly. Suspension seats, arm rests, 8.5L/100km (better than disco), commanding seating position, comfy bed, storage for days and air conditioning in the rear section.
I believe I am second owner and its former life was for NSW health department ferrying wheelchair passengers to/from appointments so it hasn't has the guts revved out of it like most others online. No log books come with the vans when from a government source like this I am told.
I'm a slow poke driver so its continued to be treated nicely whilst I've been in charge. I have serviced it once or twice from my local Mercedes speciallist. It also got a new starter motor around 2023(ish). I recently spent ~ $6000 on it (including a new battery) -see the photos. Tires are still 70% tread.
I have 4 or 5 keys for it as well so someone told me that a~ $650 per key alone.
I installed a solar panel on the roof with cabling to a deep cycle AGM battery for running my fridge.
If it were a 4 seater I would keep it and sell the family car but as the inspection work has stopped now so its turned into a 'nice to have' and not a 'need to have'. In the last year it has largely sat idle so I would prefer to put the capital to work elsewhere!

There are a number of engine options: A 2.1-litre turbo-diesel with 70kW/250Nm, 95kW/305Nm and 120kW/360Nm outputs, and a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel that produces 140kW/440Nm. Transmissions, depending on the engine, range from a six-speed manual to five or seven-speed automatics. To suit individual task requirements, the Sprinter is also available in a range of length, height and wheelbase versions with varying load volume and weight capacities.
