Overview
It's back, but it's not the Honda HR-V you knew 16 years ago. The new-generation light SUV is front-drive only, benefits in terms of packaging from its essentially Jazz underpinnings and is powered by a big-for-category 105kW/172Nm 1.8-litre engine driving exclusively through a CVT automatic transmission. Interior space is one of its strengths, and there's decent load space as well, assisted by a "Magic" seat-fold system similar to the Jazz. All-wheel disc brakes and a pliable suspension help with on-road capabilities. Honda's ADAS Advanced Driving System including lane-departure warning and anti-collision braking is optional on VTi-L.
